Josephine Sculpture Park

Our Arts and Cultures Program was a field trip to Josephine Sculpture Park in Frankfort. Founding director and sculptor, Melanie VanHouten, established Josephine Sculpture Park in 2009 on land that was her grandparent’s farm. The park is a donor-supported public park that features over 70 artworks along two miles of mowed trails across 40 acres of native meadows, fields, and forests. It is Kentucky’s only sculpture park. Visit their website at https://www.josephinesculpturepark.org/.

Unfortunately, it rained the entire time we were there but everyone enjoyed the many sculptures.  Afterwards, everyone gathered at Sage Garden Cafe for a delicious lunch.  After lunch, some went to Maynard Studios where they made their own spoon.
