Club Birthday

WCSM yearly birthday celebration, recognizing the club’s organization date of April 7, 1938, is held in conjunction with the club’s annual Derby Party, Federation Day, or Scholarship Awards Program event.

WCSM celebrated its 84th birthday party in conjunction with the Club’s Federation Day.  Because of Covid 19, no party had been held the last two years.  Past Presidents Jackie and Bev gave an outline of the history of the association.  Mary Baisch, the 3rd/4th District Vice Governor, was the guest speaker.  The members enjoyed a tea party with finger foods.  Everyone had a great time and even took home some of the birthday cakes.

The WCSM Birthday was celebrated this year in conjunction with the club’s Derby Party. Clubwomen and guests were each presented with a table treat of a candy bar wrapped in a specially designed WCSM birthday sleeve which included a WCSM fun fact of;

“The Woman’s Club held it’s 1st meeting in 1938 with 15 members,
1950 – Membership was 400 with a waiting list,
2019 – The club has 58 members”

In observance of the club’s 80th Birthday, a very special celebration was held to honor the past and present achievement of WCSM remarkable clubwomen.
