The Woman’s Club of St. Matthews held it’s annual Scholarship Program at the St. Matthews Community Center, where $18,000 in scholarships were awarded.
Scholarship recipients and their families were invited to an awards presentations, followed by a short reception with an opportunity to enjoy some light refreshments together. Clubwomen took time to speak individually with each recipient to congratulate them, as well as their families who have supported them through their years of education.
Each high school recipient was awarded a scholarship of $ 3,000.
The Adult Woman Scholarship was awarded in the amount of $3,360. A Club member whose husband passed away this past year, asked family members and friends to make memorial donations to the WCSM adult scholarship fund in his memory. Due to her request and the generosity of so many, an additional $380.00 was awarded to the adult recipient.
