Officer Meyer Benefit

Meyer Strong Benefit and Silent Auction

The St. Matthews Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 31 held a special benefit and silent auction in support of the surviving wife of 22 years, and young daughter, of City of St. Matthews Police Officer & Detective Jeremy Meyer, age 44, who lost a valiant battle with cancer.

Officer Meyer began his career with the Shepherdsville Kentucky Police Department in 2004 and transferred to the Bullitt County Kentucky Sheriff’s Office in 2011. He joined the St. Mathews Kentucky Police Department in 2012.   Jeremy had a diverse background in law enforcement including patrol, criminal and narcotics investigations, and forensics. He was also a member of the SMPD Training Staff and Special Response Team. Jeremy possessed a volunteer, can-do attitude and was highly respected by his peers in local law enforcement.

The Woman’s Club of St. Matthews, in support of this worthy cause, created and donated two gift baskets for the silent auction along with a monetary donation.
