Karen Maynard of the Department of Public Works and Solid Waste Management was our speaker for the Environmental Program. Karen gave an informative speech about what could and could not be recycled.  She talked about composting and yard waste. She also had video of how items are recycled.  She spoke on the many different services the City of Louisville provides for recycling.  She also had information on St. Matthews’ recycling program.  Afterwards she handed out brochures on the different areas she talked about along with canvas bags.
