In July the Club participated in a day of service at STITCH. Classes would soon be starting and a lot of work needed to be done before then.
The following was received from Carol Leow:
Thank you for all of your support and good work on Thursday. It was a very productive and successful service event!
Sometimes because there is so much to be done, it can appear that not enough was accomplished. Because of your assistance…
- Sewing machine needles are easily accessible and in one location!
- Work stations have the “tools” needed for students to work on their tasks.
- Shelves full of never used books have been reorganized and cleaned out for ease of use.
- Tote bag kits have been cut and are ready to use asap.
- Notions both familiar & unfamiliar have been sorted & stored correctly or disposed of as needed.
- Half price items are updated with some old things prepped for Goodwill donation
- Products have been resorted & counted so we can be better prepared for “selling season.“
WOW!!!!
When the volume of tasks seemed overwhelming, WCSM came to the rescue!
Janet, Anna Gray, and I are so appreciative!
This week classes begin again and STITCH is ready! Thank you.
