In July the club took a tour of the Yew Dell Botanical Gardens in Crestwood, Kentucky. Even though it was a hot day, everyone enjoyed the gardens.
We learned about Yew Dell’s history, gardens and architecture. The newly completed $5.1 million garden renovation enhances accessibility, adds expansive new gardens and a water feature, and opens up stunning views across Yew Dell’s pollinator meadow and the woodlands below.
Lunch was in the air-conditioned castle and consisted of sandwiches, chips, cookies and water. Everyone had a good time socializing with the other members.
After lunch, everyone went to the gift shop to look around.
