Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana, (RMHCK), is Louisville’s only organization founded to provide a ‘home-away-from-home” for families of children receiving healthcare at area medical facilities.
WCSM was delighted to have Ms. Laura Ruble, Volunteer Coordinator for RMHCK speak to our members and guests about the services offered at the Louisville Kentucky center, and the many ways that the community can support RMHCK.

RMHC Pull Tab Program.
Collecting pull-tabs is an excellent way to raise awareness about Ronald McDonald House Charities, and the families who they help. Funds from the sale of recycled pull tabs help support the services of RMHCK so that no one is ever turned away because of their inability to pay. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana, participates in the tab program, as a way to raise awareness about the organization and the services they provide. In past years, RMHCK raised almost $3,000 in their pull-tab campaign.

The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana, (RMHCK) is to provide the home and support that allows families to stay together while they focus on the healing of their sick children at a critical time.
In 1992, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana helped to pioneer one of the first Ronald McDonald Family Rooms in the world – a smaller version of Ronald McDonald House located inside a hospital that puts parents steps from their seriously ill child. RMHCK has Ronald McDonald Family Rooms in three Louisville hospitals – Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Norton Children’s Hospital and Frazier Rehab Institute.
