The WCSM hosted a program regarding Estate Planning & Senior Issues where Mr. Tim Holland with Remax Associates Realty and Ms. Misty Clark Vantrease, a Kentucky ElderLaw attorney, spoke candidly to clubwomen and guests about important matters everyone could face as we age.
Questions were addressed such as: does everyone need documents such as Power of Attorney, Health Care Surrogates, Living Wills, and Wills; what hurdles will someone face finding and paying for needed long term care; what part will government programs such as Medicare and Medicaid play in someone’s healthcare; what challenges would someone have in selling the family home; and many intricate and relative issues.
The program opened the eyes and minds of those who attended. The information was very well receive, and encouraged many to make an examination of their current preparedness plan.
